Testimonials

Recommendation from "Hazel"

"I was lucky enough to engage with Fi at a very traumatic time in my life with my adult son who is an alcoholic .

Fi helped me to stay strong and not repeat negative behaviour moving forward.

Helped me to see I was enabling my son by thinking I was being a good mother. The opposite of how I should be helping him by making him take responsibility for his own actions.

This had been an extremely scary episode in my life but by using Fi's support I have stayed strong and know I have to look after myself and ensure that I don't waiver moving forwards."

Recommendation from "Matt":

"I started having therapy by phone due to my anger issues effecting my marriage. For 2 years every week Fi would ring and I began to understand that my past and current choices were not helping me and I had to find a new way to handle my emotions.

Fi saved my marriage for which I will always be grateful."

My Story

Training and Qualifications

I have been a counsellor since 2007. My journey began in Gloucestershire, where I completed a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. I later enhanced my expertise by earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Working with Children and Adolescents.

Work Experience

I began my counselling career in a private practice, gaining three years of valuable experience before I moved into the education sector. For the next nine years, I worked as a counsellor in a further education college, supporting students aged 14 and over, and adults returning to education.

Since 2019 I have been part of a counselling practice in Gloucestershire. In early 2025, I also began working with a mental health & addiction charity that partners with some of the largest companies in the UK, offering vital support in corporate settings.

Today, I continue to provide online counselling for both organisations, while growing my own private practice, offering both online UK-wide therapy and face-to-face sessions from my office in Beverley.

Professional Standards

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical framework and I am DBS checked, ensuring you a safe and professional service.
